Bob & Mavis Irwin
Lead Pastor

Bob responded to the tug of the Holy Spirit to plant and pastor a church here in the northeast area of Modesto in 2002. He attended Multnomah School of the Bible where he received his Masters of Divinity. Mavis attended International Bible College and received her Bachelors Degree in Christian Education. Together, they have been in full time ministry for over 20 years while also parenting their children, Rob,  Amy, and Jacob.  Bob & Mavis consider marriage and family to be one of the most important aspects of life and have taught Like Minded Creed for Marriage in numerous Central Valley churches. Mavis has been the speaker at many MOPS programs in the area and has spoken at ladies retreats, teas and Bible studies throughout California.

 
 

                                                                 

Bob & Amanda Moffitt
Pastor of Worship

Bob joined the MCC team as our Worship Pastor in June of 2004. He is a graduate of Golden Gate Theological Seminary with a Master’s of Divinity degree and a focus on worship leadership. He is an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician with a passion for leading people in dynamic, creative worship. He and Amanda have two precious little girls, Maddison and Zoey.  Amanda is a teacher with a certificate in Special Education who is a delight to be around!  Just listen for that English accent! The Moffitt’s share a deep desire to see lives changed through Christ.


 

                                                                   

Adam & Lisa Lema
Pastor of Intergenerational Ministries

Adam and Lisa came to us in June of 2006.  He had been serving as a youth minister in the great state of Texas.  Adam has 8 years of youth ministry experience as well several years of experience in the restaurant business.  Lisa is a school teacher with over 8 years experience in the classroom.  She is currently teaching a special education class at Hughes Elementary.  They have a wonderful son who's name is Marcus.  Adam has a big heart for ministry and today's young people.  Adam is moving into a number of different roles here at Mill Creek and we are excited about what the future holds.

 

                                                                

Katrina Morris
Director of Children's Ministries

Katrina's vision for the children at Mill Creek Church is: to create an environment that is kid-friendly and spiritually stimulating and captivating, in which, excites curiosity and a hunger for Jesus in Kids. She is very passionate about involving youth in leadership working with children, learning and fine tuning their personal gifts and abilities. Katrina has been working with children for the past 23 years in Early Childhood Education mostly for non-profit more. In addition to working with children, she has been with youth over the last 10 years. 

She has been on staff at Mill Creek since July 2007 as the Director of Children’s Ministries and Graphic Design. Katrina and her husband Steve have been a part of our church family for the past 5 years. They have 5 children together ranging from 10 to 24 (4 boys).  Her hobbies are drawing and reading and has resently read Ted Dekker's Circle Trilogy Black, Red, White.

 

          

Kay Owens
Director of Office Administration

Kay first came to Mill Creek Church in 2004 as a guest of a member who later became her husband, Gene Owens. Kay says, "I love him and married him because I had enough of tears and wanted laughter instead and he makes me laugh." She is a mother of 2 and young grandmother of 6 as well as a 7 step-children. Kay accepted the Lord when she was a teenager, but after many years away recommitted her life to the Lord when she found her home here at Mill Creek. Along with doing things with the Mill Creek Church family, Gene and Kay enjoy riding with a National Harley Club. She just read,  Doing Church as a Team by Wayne Cordeiro.

She comes to the Mill Creek Church team with 25 years of experience in office administration and facilities management. She retired from the County as a “Staff Services Analyst” so her work experience could be combined with her passion to do and share in God’s work every day. Kay's vision for her job is to see a Church Office that responds to each member’s needs immediately whether it be setting up a classroom for a special Bible study, designing a flyer, or to encouage them.  "I hope to create an atmosphere of peace and organization in every aspect of our Business Office and facilities. My goal is to provides support for our Pastors to leave them free for their teaching preparation or to address our members’ needs."
