#1. Make the Main Thing the Main Thing:  Keep God #1
Find your joy and satisfaction in God first, not material things.
"God is the most glorified in us when we are the most satisfied in Him" -John Piper

#2.  The 3 I's: Invest - Invite - Include
INVEST in the lives of people who do not know the Lord.
INVITE them to know Christ.
INCLUDE them in the life of the church.

Check out 1Thessalonians 2:8 and Luke 15:1-2.  Jesus ate and hung out with normal everyday people who had issues and problems just like you and me.

#3. Stick Around
Stick around and make some friends.  We're all family here at MC and we can play a part in helping one another live life in a manner which brings us closer to Christ and to one another.  Be consistent in weekend church attendance.  We in enjoy the 10/20 principle of arriving 10 minutes early and staying 20 minutes after the service to mix, talk, and create friendships.
Small groups are a good way to meet people you may not otherwise meet on a busy Sunday morning.  You can check out our small group studies here.
Serving at MC is another great way to create friendships, get involved and serve once a month.  Check out our service teams
here
.  Fill out a next step card on sunday or contact the church to get connected and start serving.
Don't be a Lone Ranger Christian; you have friends who care at Mill CreekCheck out Hebrews 10:24-25 which encourages us to be connected to one another:  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

#4. Participate In Your Spiritual Growth

Life-long followers of Jesus realize there is an internal struggle between sin God's Holy Spirit.  Even the Apostle Paul said, "I do the things I should not do and do not do the things I know I should".  We need to feed those things which honor Christ an starve those things which do not.  This is an individual responsibility we all have as believers in our spiritual growth. The best way to invest in your own spiritual growth is to get into your Bible. Check out our Fighter Verses and Scripture reading plans
here.

#5.  Next Step Thinking

Walking with Jesus is step by step.  One must always be mindful of the next step.  Is your next step serving?  Is your next step reading your Bible every day?  Is it being part of a small group?  Next step thinking begins with a heart and mind which contemplates what God desires your next step to be.  Make your next step goals easy, obvious, and strategic.  For example: "I will awaken 15 minutes early every morning to read my Bible for 15 minutes."  It's as easy as that!
The Psalmist tells us how God feels about next step thinking in Psalm 37:23:
If the LORD delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm.

What is your next step?
